Set in the 1970’s and based on actual events, an idealistic college student on the cusp of earning his degree is forced to take a dangerous job as a logger in order to save his younger sisters from their abusive family home. As he learns the ropes of this perilous job, his values will also be challenged by a ruthless boss, working to further his control over the isolated woodland town with the help of some criminal cronies.
