STAN & OLLIE
Ray & Cossie have recently moved from the east coast, New York, to the west coast, Los Angeles, as want-to-be screenwriters, or so they say – they go by the pseudonym of Stan & Ollie in their writing endeavors, keeping their true identities a secret. They just moved into an addition built over the detached garage of an older couple's home - they are renting it for $1000 per month, and this includes utilities/internet. They each have their own bedroom with a kitchen & small family room in the middle. Computers are set up on the kitchen table with screenwriting books lined up against the wall. As the pilot episode progresses, it's revealed Stan & Ollie were caught embezzling from the BOA/EDD fraud scheme back in New York. They were the grunts stealing from the ATM's. They kept a percentage of each illegal transaction for themselves. Having been caught by their superiors, they were given the ultimatum of carrying out a hit on a high-level business executive in LA or face possible death by their bosses...they chose doing the hit in LA. They gave back one million of the funds they stole to their bosses but kept a little over one million for themselves. They have six months to perform the hit and Cossie will be the shooter as he's a skilled marksman by hobby, though he's never killed anyone in his life.
