During the holiday season, I'm looking to revise all my 12 screenplays and the one TV/streaming pilot. All revisions, where necessary, will update elements of the story to be true for today's (2024-cum-2025) world.

The next up for revision is Howlingween 5: Trip Along. This one is the latest in the Howlingween franchise.

MY STORY AS A SCREENWRITER

I became a hobbyist screenwriter in 2007 when I purchased version 7 of Final Draft. I’ve since completed 12 screenplays and one TV/streaming pilot.

My 13 scripts (in alphabetical order) are:

Counterchance (“Sometimes bad things happen”);

Glorious Revolution (“Unintended consequences writ-large”);

Howlingween (“A road trip to hell”) REVISED 24/12/2024;

Howlingween 2: Clarry the Clown (“Island paradise of horror”) REVISED 25/12/2024;

Howlingween 3: Red River County (“Unforgiving beggar”) REVISED 27/12/2024;

Howlingween 4: Beastly Mist (“Insect sprays won’t work on these flying mites”) REWRITTEN 28/12/2024;

Howlingween 5: Trip Along (“A child’s dream is another’s real-life nightmare”);

Kuga’s Way (pilot) (“An intelligent canine becomes involved in human affairs”);

On Board (“A traditional who-done-it mystery”); REWRITTEN FOR 2024 and beyond.

Once Young (“Love-struck teenagers”);

Splendid Isolation (“Pioneering life in an un-mapped Alaskan town”);

Twelve Less (“Teenagers in life-threatening trouble”);

We Were Young Once (“Weren’t we all?”).

Kuga’s Way (pilot) is my most recent work and is my first attempt at writing a TV/streaming pilot. It was completed in October 2023.

Currently I have half-a-dozen projects in the works. All started, but none are easy to continue writing them; it's a struggle to move forward their storylines. It's always a worry to lose that creative spark (even if it's — hopefully — temporary), so I'm glad that for the next few weeks, to commit myself to providing revisions of all my completed scripts, which I'm enjoying doing as I can see things clearer now than I did then when I wrote their last drafts. The act of reconnecting to my stories is itself a satisfyingly wonderful experience.
