A quirky, paranoid high-tech entrepreneur walls his family into an underground luxury "billionaire bunker" to wait out the nuclear war he's sure is coming. But when his engineers tapped a billion-year-old aquifer to supply water to the bunker, they turned loose a salamander-like life form. Nourished by abundant food supplies, the creature morphs into a monster and begins to devour the family one by one.
