Screenwriters' Group Forms in Orange County

The Orange County Screenwriters Association (OCSWA) is a network of writers, educators, film professionals and mentors, based in the belief that the passion and dedication to write and produce film should be encouraged as a community; so that within that community, all can achieve artistic, professional and economic success.

This not-for-profit organization was conceived as a resource for materials, creative energy, partnership, and education; we exist to help inspire excellence in film, television and theater. To further these goals, OSCWA will produce events that feature industry guest speakers, writing and film contests, discussion panels, seminars, networking and educational opportunities.

On Saturday, May 30, we are proud to host Clark Peterson, producer of "Monster" and "Dear Mr. Gacy," for a Q & A about filmmaking. The event starts at 10:00am at the Regency South Coast Village Theater in Costa Mesa. We will be announcing our up-coming screenwriting contest and we will be giving away great prizes.
