The Witches of Oz

A high School boy loves a girl and watches her rehearse the Wizard of Oz when an earthquake strikes and he runs toward the stage to save her but is knocked unconscious and wakes up in Oz.

Collin is a high school teenager with deep feelings for a girl named Lindsay, but he just can’t tell her how he feels. Instead, he sits in her rehearsals for “The Wizard Of Oz” where she is playing the role of Dorothy. Collin sits in the back row during this present rehearsal when a large earthquake strikes, and the set begins to come to pieces with Lindsay on stage. Collin rushes forward to the front of the house but just as he reaches the stage and holds out his hand for Lindsay, he is struck by a falling light and knocked unconscious.

When Collin wakes, he is right in the beginning of “The Wizard Of Oz” only he is the Dorothy role, and his dog is named Otot because everything in this story seems to be backwards from the original. Collin is sent down the secret, Yellow Brick Road, which he must find for himself and Otot. On this journey he meets the usual characters except they are all women. Tinwoman, Scarecrow, aka Scaregrow and the Lioness. Tinwoman and Scarecrow are African/American.

Collin has already killed the wicked Witch of The West with his house landing on her, so he inherits the Ruby Shoes, and he has already met the wicked Witch of The East who sends him on the journey to The Emerald City to see her sister, The Witch of Oz.

This company sets out on the journey to The Emerald City, but they face great resistance and must fight through cold, fire, burning houses, a stoner Witch Of The East who follows them because of the Ruby Shoes, a bumblebee horde, a pack of Monkey-Head Drones which fly by motorized propellers, and finally a ‘murder of crows’ before they reach the gates and are allowed in.

Once inside they meet The Witch of Oz who sends them back to the Witch of the East to steal her Wand which The Witch of Oz is really the true owner. If they return with the Wand, she will grant them all their wishes including sending Collin and Otot back to Los Angeles.

They go through another set of adventures until they finally meet, face to face with the Witch of The East and they smoke her down to nothing and acquire the Wand and they leave being chased by all that is evil. The company arrives back at The Emerald City on magic brooms and fight their way into The Green House and finally The Oval Office of The Green House where they meet the Witch Of Oz again.

In the end, Collin uses the Wand and brings them all back to Los Angeles where the three female characters turn into real women, Otot comes back as Collin’s dog, The Witch Of Oz is sent back to The Emerald City as a good Wizard for her punishment and Collin and Lindsay become real boy and girl friend in a real world with some new arrivals.
