Dance of the Innocent
The just deceased spirit of a Black pro-life leader is restored in heaven with the two unaware children of her youth, recounting the events around their earthly loses decades earlier to a teenage abortion and the related miscarriage. The spirit of her one-time White fiancé divulges the explosive secret that had altered all of their lives.
Haddy Burrows, a professional Black violinist, overcomes the repercussions of her youthful abortion and related miscarriage. She diverts her music career in service to the underprivileged pregnant women of Brooklyn with her “Haddy’s House” chain of maternity homes and Pregnancy Resource Clinics. Haddy goes on to become a nationally renowned pro-life leader.
Upon her death in 2022, at the age of 101, Haddy’s spirit is restored in heaven with the unaware children she had never known, Mia and Caleb. She prepares her children to learn of the earthly lives they lost through the unfolding of the related periods of her life, through flashbacks and select Voice Overs… similar in structure to “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” Midway, she is joined by the spirit of her long-lost White fiancé, Dr. Seth Johnson, who discloses the explosive secret that had altered all of their lives.
Severely frayed emotions soon yield to spiritual reconciliation. The four spirits (Haddy, Seth, Mia and Caleb) are joined with the spirits of the other deceased key characters of faith, traveling together on into eternity.
Dance of the Innocent is a faith based, historic fiction, with a factual timeline around the pro-abortion agenda from the early 20th century through to the current day.
