Out of time

Synopsis

A talent agent named Vincent has been working in a company called Taller Records for the past 30 years. The company's CEO named Tommy has to fire Vincent because the company is in decline and the artists he signed haven’t been selling any records. Vincent goes home and watches a News report about a man forced to rob a bank because he had a remote bomb attached to his neck. The bomb explodes killing him on live television. Due to his cocaine addiction, Vincent nearly enquires his drug dealer Harris if he knows of any bomb makers but quickly changes his mind due to the law implications. As Vincent is in his car sniffing cocaine, he hears a musician named Lythium performing on the street. A whole crowd of people runs to see him perform. When the performance is over, Vincent tries to convince Lythium to be one of his clients. Lythium declines his offer and walks away. Frustrated and desperate to become the Agent he once was, he builds up the courage to inquire about a bomb maker to his drug dealer. Harris knows about a guy named Ronnie. Ronnie is a former war veteran that was discharged from the army. During the war, his duty was to disarm bombs but now he engineers them and sells them. Harris tries to warn Vincent about Ronnie because he has a tendency to stalk all his previous customers. Vincent ends up meeting with Ronnie anyway and buys a state-of-the-art remote bomb from him that’s shaped like an ankle bracelet. Come night fall and as Lythium is gathering his things to leave, Vincent follows him and shoots him in the back with a tranquilizer dart. Lythium passes out and wakes up in an abandoned warehouse with the ankle bracelet attached. Vincent calls him with an altered voice and tells him that the timer on his ankle is set to explode in 6 months' time. The only way out of it is to sign with a Talent Agency. Fast forward to 5 months later and Lythium puts together a band called No way Out. After his performance in a Rock and Roll club, Lythium gets approached by a talent agent named Ruben from Taller Records. Vincent shows up from the crowd and confesses he was the one behind the ankle bracelet. After a violent outburst from Lythium, Vincent resets the timer on his ankle bracelet to another 6 months. On top of that, he puts on a pair of brass knuckles and beats up Lythium to a pulp outside the Rock and Roll club. Lythium’s band mates come outside to his aid. Lythium confesses that he told his band everything about the ankle bracelet and they all convinced him to dial 911. While Lythium dials 911, a noise starts coming from the remote of the ankle bracelet. Vincent turns the remote around and it has a speaker where Ronnie could hear everything and speak out loud. He tells Vincent his last words and detonates the ankle bracelet killing everyone.
