BELLE AND THE BLOOD BEAST

A revisionist horror take on the classic fairy tale for young adults -- equal parts romance, action and gore. Belle, a modern, independent beauty rebelling against the man's world of 17th-century France, is forced to live in an enchanted castle to save her father's life. She becomes the defiant prisoner of the Blood Beast, a lonely nobleman cursed with a monstrous body and a predatory savagery powerful enough to hunt and kill twenty men. Both are transformed by a strange, complex love that's threatened by outside forces led by Victor, a cold-blooded cadet captain so obsessed over Belle that he'll destroy them both. Who the true beast is evolves in dark, twisted ways. A romantic horror-thriller date movie, R-rated for violence, not a Disney family movie. More in the style of "Red Riding Hood", "Gretel and Hansel" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies".
