Born in Brooklyn, and raised in Queens, New York, where he currently resides, Eddie’s passion for writing and horror movies was ingrained at an early age.

“My parents used to tell stories of how I would stay up late at night by myself, watching all the classic black and white movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man.”

Those late night movie marathons would later foray into attempts at writing low, low-budget scripts that he and his friends would try to film in the neighborhood.

His first stab, no pun intended, at sharing a thriller script among screenwriting peers was for The Gotham Writers Workshop in New York City. A script titled “Bend”, about homicide detectives on the trail of a serial killer. There’s also a sequel.

While Eddie firmly believes his true calling in life is that of an author/screenwriter, it was merely a hobby back then. It wasn’t until a friend offered him a chance to work part-time as a doorman that his writing urge would once again be revisited. 

His years of working in a residential building compelled him to write an unpublished memoir of his experiences titled “Opening Doors: A New York City Doorman's secrets and stories” which then led him to serve as a contributing writer for a real estate website for more than two years with over forty bi-weekly posts aptly named “A doorman speaks”.

His posts also garnered mentions in the New York Post, and New York Magazine.

Eddie’s passion for writing includes a bevy of screenplays under his belt with the hopes of breaking into the film industry and landing a deal.

Eddie has a completed first season (9 episodes) of a series based on his books along with a short film (Hispanicus) shot in 2018, directed by Lanz Pierce and starring actor J. Alphonse Nicholson.

His short film script  “1202” was a quarterfinalist with Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship in 2021

His action/ thriller 'The Superintendent', about a crafty NYC super, defending his building from mercenaries hired to track down a mystery guest, recently placed as a quarterfinalist with Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices (2024)

Logline: A newly hired superintendent is forced to utilize inventive methods in defending against ruthless mercenaries on the hunt for a Nigerian refugee staying in his building.

A horror script titled “Lychotic” was selected into the Kalakari Film Festival along with honorable mentions with Art Film Awards and Future Film Awards for the month of July, 2021.

Logline: Working from home during a pandemic, a man on the brink of a mental collapse begins to exhibit symptoms of lycanthropy. Only to unleash something far more sinister.
