L. A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival Announces Screenplay Results
Concluding once and for all that great things come in small
packages, The 3rd Annual L. A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, a four-day celebration of comedic
short films and screenplays, came to a uproarious conclusion Sunday evening at Elevate Lounge in Downtown
Los Angeles.
Commented Artistic Director Gary Anthony Williams, ''All we wanted to do is make it okay for
America to laugh their butts off at things that are short and funny. We did it. Now this country
is safe again. You can thank us later. No, wait ... thank us now.''
The third time was the charm for LACSFF which packed the Downtown Independent Theatre
to the brim throughout its four day run. ''This was the best year yet,'' remarked Jeannie Roshar,
Festival director. "We've had such a great time and that same sentiment was echoed back to us
by filmmakers and audience members alike, so I decided to invite everyone back to Gary's
house to do it all over again next weekend."
Added Gary, "I'm now moving to an undisclosed location."
