Couples Hang

A suburban family finally finds the perfect couples-hang — until they discover the husband is a cartel witness in hiding, pulling both families into a high-stakes suburban comedy where making friends is somehow more dangerous than staying alive. *Scored two 8s on The Blacklist

Chip Gleeson, a suburban private investigator, and his wife Lauren are devastated when their best friends and neighbors move away, leaving them desperate to recreate their perfect "couples hang." After a disastrous neighborhood party ends in fires, injuries, and HOA sanctions, hope arrives when the seemingly flawless DeLeon family moves in across the street.

As their friendship deepens, Chip grows suspicious of the DeLeons' too-perfect lives and begins investigating. Strange answers, mysterious behavior, and Alecto DeLeon's extraordinary medical skills culminate in a violent chase after Alecto saves a choking fan at Soldier Field using an improvised emergency tracheotomy. Chip discovers "Alecto" is actually Gary Huggins, a thoracic surgeon living in witness protection after testifying against a brutal drug cartel.

Forced into the dangerous world surrounding Gary's hidden identity, Chip and Lauren reject relocation and instead embrace the messy authenticity they'd been trying to suppress. By throwing a massive neighborhood pool party, they create exactly the kind of ordinary suburban chaos that helps shield them from suspicion while finally building the community they had been chasing all along. Gary's family is safely relocated, Randy returns home, and Chip realizes the perfect couples hang was never something to find—it was something worth creating.
