The Pixie Detective

A little tomboy pixie detective discovers that her black cat possesses some unusual qualities after she accidentally uncovers an illicit operation taking place at the abandoned shipyard adjacent to her home.

Caity, an aspiring seven year old pixie girl detective, dons a signature Sherlock Holmes hat and wields a large magnifying glass as she frequents the abandoned shipyard across the meadows from her home. Accompanied by her loyal companion, a large black cat affectionately named Miss Blacky, she immerses herself in what she proudly refers to as "detective work."

One fateful day, while nestled beneath an old dock near the crumbling warehouses, Caity overhears two men engaged in a conversation within a dilapidated shack that once served as an office. Their words hint at something nefarious, igniting her curiosity and concern.

Upon returning home, Caity excitedly shares with her mother a troubling sight: she witnessed a frightened young Asian girl being led into the shipyard, seemingly destined for an unknown fate. However, her mother dismisses her claims, even when Caity implores her to consult Miss Blacky, insisting, "Miss Blacky can vouch for me; she saw it too."

Despite her mother's stern warning to steer clear of the shipyard, Caity's determination compels her to investigate peculiar sounds she heard drifting across the meadows the previous night. With Miss Blacky by her side, she bravely ventures forth, aware that her feline friend possesses extraordinary qualities that set her apart from ordinary animals.

As Caity delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the shipyard, she begins to grasp the inherent dangers lurking in places where young children should never tread. Yet, as she attempts to aid the frightened Asian girl in escaping from the men in the shack, she finds herself ensnared within the very confines of danger, her presence discovered, and the threat of their illicit activities closing in around her.
