Off Guard

O.T., a carefree, but dedicated, corrections officer, in a Federal Prison, appears to have all the answers. When a practical joke backfires, O.T. has to decide what's more important; his career or his best friend.

Off Guard, a Dramedy, is about correctional officer Oscar Tollefson, (O.T.). He and his best friend Tommy McKenzie work in the prison and had served in the Army together. O.T. finds out that Tommy put his paperwork in for the in-house Lieutenant's promotion, and feels that this will end their friendship. When one of his pranks in the Segregation Unit backfires, causing an officer to receive injuries, the Warden ends up giving O.T. an ultimatum; a recommendation for Tommy to become a Lieutenant at another institution if O.T. puts his paperwork in for the in-house Lieutenant's position. O.T. doesn't want the responsibility but, discreetly, attempts to become a Lieutenant in the Bureau of Prisons. With an ongoing investigation and a couple of supervisors becoming an obvious thorn in his side, O.T.'s chances go from slim to none, even with the help of special investigation services Agent, Colleen Meyer, who was brought in by Region.
