SPONTANEOUS HUMAN COMBUSTION
Bank robbers, holed up at a roadside diner, face off against a mysterious customer while the cops surround them, but when hostages begin bursting into flames, they must confront an insidious evil within.
Three days later, a masked group of intruders rob Roderick Dawes' bank. They are led by Mick Maguire, a cold-hearted professional criminal. Joined by earnest younger brother Scott, and hotheaded cohort Broxton, they seek to do a number on the greedy Dawes and redistribute some wealth to the town's troubled residents.
After a daring escape, Mick and his crew head into the mountains, hiding out at Dante's, a roadside diner. It is here they are to rendezvous with Broxton's contact, a man who's arranging safe passage out of town... none other than Edwin N. Tyll.
But no sooner do they arrive, so do the police. Mick and his men are forced to take hostages, many of them long time acquaintances, friends, and even old flames. It's a highly combustible situation any way you look at it. But when one of the customers abruptly bursts into flame in a horrifying display, they soon find themselves face to face with a new threat. One from within.
In the wake of this startling, seemingly supernatural immolation, everyone is devastated, frightened, and increasingly desperate... Everyone, except for the ubiquitous Mr. Tyll, who gleefully states that every hour on the hour, one of them will share the same grisly fate.
So begins a night like no other, one in which the denizens of Dante's Diner stare down a baffling phenomenon that will put each person through their own personal crucible.

“This script was tight, well-structured and surprisingly entertaining for a largely one-location story. The only reason I say "surprisingly" is for exactly that reason. The Writer here has managed to keep things interesting largely through character play, and long scenes of dialogue / conversation kept my interest throughout.
Some research into Buddhism ; Christianity obviously took place for this piece.
