A mother/daughter story in the backdrop of a cross-country bicycle adventure, the strong-willed daughter and her reluctant husband cycle Seattle to Brooklyn and along the way, she learns what it will take to care for her ailing mom: strength in the face of adversity, patience when confronted with a challenge, and faith when all seems lost.

Maria Massei-Rosato is an author and screenwriter. Her memoir was selected as a semi-finalist in the William Faulkner Writing Competition and her screenplay, Lost in Control, based on her memoir, has been a finalist in several film festivals. She holds an M.F.A in creative non-fiction from The New School, a B.S. from NYU, and has attended Robert McKee’s Story seminar. Her most recent work has appeared in Poets & Writers Magazine, Brain, Child Magazine, Boomer Lit Mag, Tell Us A Story, and Mutha Magazine.
