Author Bio: If life is a three act drama, screenwriting is my fifth act. Born in Charleston South Carolina, I received an undergraduate degree in history from the Univ. of South Carolina, magna cum laude. I graduated from two of the nation's best med schools with a J.D. from Duke and Ph.D. in political science from Johns Hopkins. This was my poetry phase with 100 poems in magazines, newspapers, and anthologies.

In my next act, I taught Government at the University of Texas in Austin. Then I practiced law (high tech and aerospace). I wrote three books on outer space law, policy, and business. I was a space consultant, activist and entrepreneur. I have also continued to teach. My bio is in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who in the World for those activities.

I come to screenwriting later. This script won a Silver Remi at Worldfest, reached the Second Round in 2007 Filmmakers International, the First Round in Page International, and was a finalist at the Charleston International Film Festival 2008. Other scripts have won honorable mention at ScreenplayFestival.com, semi-finalist at Shriekfest, and two Gold Remi's at Worldfest.

My writing partner is Miriam Esther Goldman, my seventeen year old daughter. A high school junior, you might say, she is still in her first act. A mezzo-soprano with more than a three octave range, she studies voice at Rice University Shepherd School's Preparatory Program. Although classically trained, her real passion is 1940s jazz and Broadway. But, she is equally at home and happy in country, folk, soul, blues, and rock. Can anyone say, PROUD PARENT.

Contest Results: Shriekfest (Semifinalist)
Champion (Quarterfinalist)
Worldfest - Houston (Third Place, silver remi, drama-adaptation)
FilmMakers (Honorable Mention, second round qualifier)
