Winner of multiple contests (including Disney and WB), this detective comedy is about a struggling mystery author who while writing a novel based on her fiancé detective’s big murder case discovers he missed a key clue, then sets out with her eccentric editor to re-solve the murder. But to win back her respect and save their relationship the fiancé must beat them to the punch. The film is presented in three different genres — film noir, Hollywood glamour, and pulp – depending on which character is telling the story.
