NOTE: This screenplay was a finalist in the Film and Television/Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship Competition. J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientific director of the Manhattan Project, seeks relief from his work in the arms of artist Georgia O’Keeffe. The strength of their relationship helps transform him from “the father of the atomic bomb” into an anti-nuclear advocate. It has been optioned by HBO producer Lee Levinson, at The Late Bloomer Co., Ltd., New York, New York.
