Our 2020 Winner has been signed by a Manager as a result of entering our competition!! Now in our fourth season, Write LA gives 5 writers the chance to be read by potential representation, and one winner will be flown to LA and given two nights hotel accommodation (Covid willing) to have Q&A meetings with Industry Insiders, and hear their entire script read live on stage by professional 'Hollywood' actors. The reading will be professionally video recorded and posted online.

The winner, finalists and semifinalists receive free feedback from head judge - and highly respected script consultant - Tim Schildberger. Write LA was built by writers, for writers. We want to spread the love and offer all the feedback, assistance, industry access, and recognition we can, because we know how hard writing is, and we have a tremendous amount of respect for each and every one of you. We’ve entered our fair share of screenplay competitions, and honestly, we’re a little annoyed we can’t win this one.

Write LA is open to writers around the world and accepts both feature screenplays and pilots, any genre, which are judged together. We’re not looking for a particular genre or a particular format – we’re looking for great writers.

(A QUICK NOTE ABOUT COVID-19: Our prize package involves a trip for the winner to Los Angeles this November. We realize now isn’t exactly the best time to be making plans for trips, but we’re also hopeful that our world will be much healthier come November.
