Synopsis

As they boarded the vessel an eeriness was felt as they started to search for any signs of life. “You two look around up here, I’ll check below,” said the First Mate He headed down the stairs with his pistol drawn, as he opened the door, he felt vomit rising up in his throat as the stench of death filled his nostrils. “What in God’s Name happened here??” He said to himself wiping his mouth with his scarf. He ran back upstairs and called out to the Captain in horror. “Captain!! Captain!! You’ve got to see this sir!!” He called out. “What is it, man?” The Captain asked, “What have you found?” “Please brace yourself, Sir,” said the First Mate “It’s the stuff of nightmares down there!” The Captain made his way down below holding his handkerchief to his nose to dull the smell. He felt the blood rush from his face as he turned ghostly pale at the horrific sight before him. Dead bodies lined the floor, many dismembered and covered in blood, men, women, and children all mutilated some still clutching to each other out of fear. There was blood splattered all over the walls and what looked to be half-eaten body parts. The Captain staggered back up the stairs and fell to his knees. “Never in all my days at sea have I ever seen something so evil, there was darkness traveling on this boat a darkness from the pit of hell itself!! we need to tow her back to shore so that whatever happened here can be looked into” said the Captain as he wiped his forehead.
