ELECTRIC

After being electrocuted on the job, a woman has the power to make everyone around her fall in love... everyone, it seems, except the man of her dreams.

Geri Meyers has this recurring dream about a man, but she can never quite make out who it is. She’s power company lineman, the only one in the county, maybe even the state. Climb a pole, replace a blown lightning arrestor. No big deal... done it a hundred times. Except when newbie partner Mike drops the wrong “jack door” and leaves the juice on. Geri grabs the arrestor and, in the middle of a shower of sparks and flames, 7200 volts surge through her.

Suspended only by her climbing belt, Geri dangles, lifeless. Mike frantically radios for help, and the cavalry soon arrives, in the form of Spike, a wannabe Mr. Olympia, and Tuck, his homophobic sidekick. They plow their bucket truck through anything in their way... but it’s too late. Geri’s heart has stopped. An ER Nurse slams his fist into her chest. Dazed, she looks up to see a familiar sight, a man in white, face hazy, haloed by a bright light. The dream? Nurse Chris Angelino and crew work feverishly to bring Geri back, but not before Geri knocks Chris across the room when she reaches for his hand, just as paddles send a lifesaving jolt to her chest.

Nurse Angelino keeps a vigil over Geri, a girl he hardly knows, but who’s “touched” him in a special way. The voltage has compromised Geri's heart. She'll have to keep tabs on it for awhile. That surge also had another effect, a very curious one -- Geri now has a power emanating from her hands. When two people touch them simultaneously, they feel an electric charge, and they are forever linked. Things get a little crazy when Geri appears on a TV show and viewers discover this 'unique' talent. Now, everyone wants her touch, everyone wants to be in love. Amidst all the chaos, Geri can’t stop thinking about Chris. But when she looks him up, he’s gone, no longer working at the hospital.

Geri's dad, Frank, the Romeo of the Social Security set, helps Geri escape the media clamor, while Mike concocts a plan to prove her powers are bogus. Everything goes as planned, and Geri's life returns to normal. Geri still really does have the power. If she could just tell Chris, if she could just touch him, maybe he’d love her back. First she must find him. Enter Geri's ex-husband and FBI agent.

Her heart planted firmly on her sleeve, Geri drives her bucket truck to find Chris, but the wheels come flying off her dreams when Chris introduces her to Dr. Lancer, his fiancée, and they are all momentarily linked by Geri's touch. The worst of all possible scenarios. Unwittingly, Geri’s power has only deepened Chris's love... for the other woman.

Geri slugs her way home, heartbroken. At a highway bar she uses the power like a party trick and offers to help a dejected bar patron rekindle the love of her abusive trucker husband. Maybe the power is waning, because the trucker decks Geri and reads his “woman” the riot act.

When Geri returns home, Chris is waiting for her. But, why? Seems Geri's power isn’t a cupid’s touch, rather a truth touch. When Geri touched Chris, he knew he was with the wrong woman. Finally primed for their first kiss, that long awaited fulfillment of Geri's nightly dreams... Geri and Chris lean close, but Geri's heart goes into arrest! A split second after puckering up, Chris's administering mouth to mouth. Can he save her? Geri's heading for that bright light once again. But is it to meet her maker? No, it's a sunrise "wedding" service. Seems Geri touched Spike and Tuck and there was much more there than met the eye, surprising all concerned, especially Geri, who's in attendance with Chris, the man of her dreams.
