Put your writers cap on and write an original 7-10 page short script that can be readily filmed in St. Petersburg or Clearwater blockbuster locations. Settings can include the picturesque beaches to the tropical landscapes – wherever your imagination takes you in paradise. And don’t forget to be creative, any genre is acceptable! If you already have a written short script, you can still submit – just switch out your locations to be specifically set in St. Petersburg or Clearwater

• The Stage 32 Short Film Script Contest is an international contest. Must be 18 years or older to submit.
• Entrant agrees to Stage32.com terms and conditions.
• The Stage 32 Short Film Script Contest is not a game of chance. All material is read and reviewed by industry professionals.
• All quarterfinalists, semi-finalists, finalists and winners are subjectively determined by our judges.
• There is no limit to the number of short screenplays an Entrant can enter. The same short screenplay cannot be submitted multiple times under different names. If so, you will be disqualified.
• Entrant must not be an immediate family member or friend of any of the judges or their respective companies.
• Winner must cast and crew locally from Stage 32 in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida area.
• Entry fees will not be returned or adjusted.

• Screenplays should be written in English and in standard industry format.
• Screenplays must be in .pdf format, no exceptions.
• Screenplay must be the original work of the Entrant and may not be based whole or in part on any fictional or non-fictional material, published or unpublished, produced or unproduced for which the Entrant does not have rights.
• Short screenplay submissions must be 7-10 pages in length and submitted as a properly formatted PDF screenplay, no exceptions.
• Short screenplay submissions must include locations available or easily filmable at St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida. Writers will utilize http://www.visitstpeteclearwater.com/ and http://www.filmspc.com/ plus VSPC’s social platforms for ideas.
• Submissions are open now through November 15th 2016 11:59PM PDT.
• The rights to the Entrant’s screenplay should not have been previously optioned or sold.
• Entrant's screenplay must not have been produced or have won any contests.
• After a screenplay is entered, no new drafts or corrected pages can be made by the Entrant. No exceptions.
• Entrants must submit screenplays and payment online.

WHAT YOU'LL WIN

The winner and director will be flown out to St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida to film the winning short script, where the likes of Hollywood films such as Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children , Spring Breakers, Dolphin Tale and Magic Mike were filmed

Production will be mentored by award winning Director/Writer JT Mollner

The winner will receive a Movie Magic Bundle (Scheduling & Budgeting) from Entertainment Partners

Zacuto will prize the winner with a Z-Finder

All production will be professionally managed by Tampa Bay based production company Digital Caviar. Plus, cast & crew straight from Florida using your Stage 32 network, how cool is that?

But wait, that’s not all! The winners short film will be showcased in Stage 32’s short film program, featured at the 2017 Hollyshorts Film Festival, 2017 Richmond Film Festival and the 2017 Sunscreen Film Festival, plus a special online global screening on Stage 32.
