The Heart of Fire

After his mother's mysterious death, a haunted martial artist travels from Hong Kong to Washington D.C., where he uncovers a deadly conspiracy linking his estranged father to a powerful cartel-and a young woman whose own past may hold the key to the truth.

When Shane Li’s mother dies under suspicious and brutal circumstances, his world is shattered. Fueled by grief and a relentless need for justice, Shane leaves behind the only home he’s ever known in Hong Kong and follows a trail of buried secrets that leads him to the unforgiving streets of Washington, D.C.

There, amidst a city of corruption and violence, Shane uncovers the existence of a powerful criminal empire — one that may have ties to his mother’s death. His investigation brings him face-to-face with Demetria Narvaez, the fiery and fiercely independent daughter of the very man Shane believes is responsible. Despite the danger, an undeniable connection forms between them — a bond forged through shared loss, painful truths, and a deep longing for freedom from the sins of their fathers.

As Shane and Demetria fight to expose the darkness consuming their families, enemies close in, alliances shift, and betrayal lurks behind every promise. With danger rising and hearts on the line, Shane must awaken the strength of the "Heart of Fire" — a symbol of honor, courage, and sacrifice passed down by his mother — to survive the war closing in around him.

In a world built on lies and violence, love may be their only salvation — or their ultimate undoing.

Author Bio:
I've been in love with storytelling since the moment I could hold a pencil. I wrote my first song at just 8 years old, which blossomed into poetry and eventually screenwriting. At 16, I typed my first screenplay on a typewriter, pouring my heart into every scene. Life took a detour when I became a wife and mother, but now I’m back—more driven than ever.

I’ve just completed my fourth screenplay, with several more in the works. I'm especially drawn to action, thriller, suspense, and romance.
