The Story Farm Screenwriting Lab & Retreat.

Designed like a screenplay contest, it allows writers to apply for consideration to be one of eight finalists to take part in a five-day writing retreat that centers around workshopping your material with direct support from the Story Farm team. The Story Farm coaches and ISA team members will bring eight writers to a 10,000 square foot, renovated farmhouse on a peaceful, private, and serene two acres in southeastern Wisconsin for an intensive workshop and lab writing retreat.

1 -Submit first 20 pages of best writing sample in PDF format only - (please do not submit more than 20 pages)
2 - TWO loglines: one logline for the presented 20-page writing sample AND a logline for the new project the writer intends to work on while on the retreat. The Story Farm suggests that you work on a brand new project while on the retreat.
3 - One-page bio (we’re looking for how well a writer can tell a story, so tell a story about you!)
4 - A list/resume of any and all screenwriting, industry, or educational accolades – from contest wins and placements, to secured representation or produced material, or even industry jobs like Jack Nicholson’s personal assistant, or Writer’s Assistant to Joss Whedon. “Educational accolades” could be as simple as “BA from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts”, or as complex as a Nobel Prize in Literature.

Early: 05/28/17, $45
Regular: 06/30/17, $60
Late: 08/04/17, $75
