I don't want to cast any aspersions and I feel I might be going out on a limb (o) but I can't see this contests registered in MovieBytes. It does seem to be registered with Film Freeway guys but I wonder if contests should be allowed to do their cheap advertising on the Message Board cause it is no the intention of this message board for contest orgnaizers to avoid paying for paid advertising on this site and also if this is not a registered contest with MovieBytes then it gives the illusion that it is a valid contest and is registered with MovieBytes. So I suggest that all such message topics should be purged as a policy of this site. Imagine if some bogus contest posted on MovieBytes and got a lot of people to enter with such free advertising. Most would be none the wiser if it was or wasn't bogus. I mean how low can you go.
Also the fact that $200 is spelt 200 $ is a red flag for me
This conversation comes up every few months, but for the record, contest listings here should NOT be considered an endorsement, or any kind of validation at all. (I can't speak for FilmFreeway or WithoutABox, but I believe the same is true there.) We like to include listings for EVERYONE so users have a place to post their comments and report card evaluations.
Usually I don't comment in the MovieBytes but I saw you are choosy and you are getting carried away! Actually I am the winner of their previous edition. They paid the money as they promised on time. And everything was good. Laurel, certificate and etc. Also I think the contest is also registered in the MovieBytes. So...
If you see Fred's last post - this list was 'just' posted. When I went searching for it when I posted it was not there.
I am pleased that this is a valid contest and as I said in my original post - I was not aiming to cast any aspersions. However, I am not a fan myself of contest organizers advertising with this Message Board when other contest organizers pay for banners and such. But from Fred's post, this seems to be OK so I will drop it.
You are right I do get carried away when it comes to possible bogus contests cause I have wasted a lot of my hard earned money on such.
