Objective

MISSION: TV is where it’s at. Seriously. There were over 400 scripted series last year. That’s a lot of pages of TV that need to be written. And that’s why we want to find the best undiscovered TV writers out there.

FEEDBACK: WeScreenplay believes that every entrant of a contest should benefit from entering – whether the writer wins or not. That is why we offer one page of feedback on every pilot that is entered.

We know you’re out there – with awesome ideas and pilots. And not only do WeScreenplay competitions have a history of getting writers signed and staffed, but every single entrant gets written feedback from a professional reader.

JUDGING: Check out our industry jury: three lit managers and a showrunner! These folks can get a TV writing career off the ground, provide invaluable mentorship, and share the knowledge on what it takes to get a pilot turned into a show. Show More

Awards

The most important prize WeScreenplay can offer is having these scripts read by our industry jury and sent to industry relationships. Many WeScreenplay winners have been introduced to their manager or a producer they’re working with through our competitions.

On top of the exposure, The WeScreenplay Television Contest is giving away cash and prizes. The Grand Prize scripts in each category will receive $1,000 cash prize and the top 3 scripts in each category will receive WeScreenplay’s top-notch coverage.
