Objective
After 20+ years of the program and over 200+ graduates, NHMC is proud to announce that our application window has opened for the 2026 Series Scriptwriters Program.
Our program is one of the oldest and longest-running POC writers programs in the industry. Aspiring Latine writers with a strong desire to write for streaming & television are encouraged to apply! The virtual program will run from Monday September 22nd through Saturday, November 14th.
Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older. You must have access to reliable internet connection to participate in daily video conferencing. Entertainment industry experience is not required. Writing teams cannot apply.Rules

Program participants will receive the tools and guidance from industry mentors, simulate a writers room, build a community, and make industry executive connections, all while developing their script idea by the end of the program. Alumni of the program have gone on to work on series produced by Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, AppleTV, Hulu, HBOMax, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and more.
The Series Scriptwriters Program is fully virtual, running Monday - Friday evenings, and Saturday mornings during Pacific Standard Time over 8 weeks. With the estimated hours being Monday - Friday: 6-8pm PST / 9-11pm EST & Saturday: 11-3pm PST / 2-6pm EST.
