Objective:

Shiver's Short Horror Screenplay Competition is for short horror screenplays 1 to 30 pages in length. Winners receive monetary award, trophy, and industry exposure.

Eligibility:

18 years of age or older

Entry Fee:

$25 (by May 14th, 2010.)

Rules:

Unproduced, original screenplays only.
Short length film scripts (Maximum 30 pages) only.
Standard industry format.
Multiple entries require a separate Online Application for each script and entry fees for each.
Judging is based on Writing Essentials, Dialogue, Character, Plot, Originality and Marketability.
Results are announced one week after posted contest deadline.
Substitutions are not allowed after your script is submitted.
The Shiver's Short Horror Screenplay Contest may be extended for one month at the descretion of the contest directors.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place scripts from previous Shiver's Short Horror Screenplay contests may not be resubmitted.

Awards:

First Place: 25% of all entry fees and a 1st Place Trophy.
Second Place: 10% of all entry fees and 2nd Place Trophy.
Third Place: 5% of all entry fees and a 3rd Place trophy.

The 1st Place screenplay will be produced by Shiver Films if the contest receives a minimum of 300 entries.
