SYNOPSIS

Julie Lee is a Chinese American shopping in Hong Kong for antique hand fans. She buys a Ch'ing Dynasty Story Fan from the famous Teresa Coleman's and returns home to Los Angeles where all of her troubles suddenly begin.

Julie's luggage does not arrive with her flight, her house is robbed, she is kidnapped, along with Beverly Hills antiquities dealer, Terrance and they are both taken to China by a group of art thieves who are searching for a family treasure three hundred years old.

The secret to the resting place of this treasure is a map, shown in pictures and painted across the face of Julie's Ch'ing Dynasty fan. Julie and Terrance are forced to join the thieves and together they find this ancient treasure in the courtyard of The Old Church in Central Hong Kong, just below Hollywood Road.

They return to the courtyard at night and carry the family goods back to their flat where they discover that the treasure is museum quality clothes from the Ming and Ch'ing Dynasties. These articles, along with a Seventeenth Century cross worth millions, constitute a National Treasure and a huge archeological find.

Julie and Terrance help give the goods to the National Museum of Art in Kowloon and they return home where they discover that the goods given to the museum were all fakes.
