Shore Scripts Announces 2014 Feature & Short Finalists

Short Scripts has announced their 5 Feature & 3 Short finalists in alphabetical order. The placement of the scripts will be determined by Judges and announced on Friday, November 14th.

BLACK CREEK BY LEE CROSS
At the end of the gold rush era, a small Alaskan frontier town is plagued by horrific attacks from a pack of vicious, ungodly creatures that dwell upon the imposing mountain which looms menacingly above Black Creek.

GIANTS OF THE VALLEY BY BRYCE WOLFGANG JOINER
Theodore Tuttleberg, once the tallest man on earth, forms a bond with a morbidly obese recluse whom he saves from death, but when he seeks to make him famous he almost kills the soul of his one true friend.

LITTLE HOUSE BY CLAIRE FOWLER
A determined Gypsy teenager navigates high-school, poverty, prejudice and love as she attempts to break free from her heritage and forge a new life for her and her daughter.

LOST CAUSE BY DAVID J. SCHROEDER
Medically retired Naval explosive expert, Peter Gerstenberger, sets sail on his salvage ship, the Ozymandias, for the Windward Passage, between the Dominican Republic and Cuba’s Guantanamo Bay, to salvage a 600' Roll-On/Roll-Off Venezuelan freighter, under the eyes of a ‘spectator fleet’ and Commander of Guantanamo Bay. On board the freighter, Berger discovers a lost thermonuclear bomb and a Black-Ops plan to destabilize world politics.

THE FINAL DAYS BY CONRAD ROTHBAUM
A French resistance cell operating in Nazi-occupied France plots to blow up a train, but when one of their sons unwittingly informs upon them, they find themselves up against a ruthless Gestapo officer with all of France hanging in the balance.

In 1947 Lisbon, Amelia, 14, a precocious girl, who struggles to communicate with her mother after the death of her father, is sent away to stay with her aunt and uncle. She meets Thomas, an Austrian boy who is being fostered while they find his parents who he was separated from during the war. Amelia and Thomas begin to teach each other the true meaning of friendship.

DRINK RECIPES FOR FOOLISH LOVERS BY ALI K. GUVEN
A young gay couple’s world turns upside down, after one of them finds out that he is HIV positive. Now they must decide whether to endure the physical and emotional consequences of continuing their relationship. Will they make it through?

THE PRIEST BY GORAN SPOLJARIC
An unfaithful woman takes the train ride from hell.
