The 23rd Annual Script Pipeline Screenwriting Competition connects talented writers with production companies and managers.
As one of the longest-running and most successful screenplay contests, we focus specifically on finding writers representation, supporting diverse voices, championing ambitious storytelling, and pushing original projects closer to production.
The company’s unique process—consisting of long-term, 1-on-1 development, extensive promotion, mentorship, and circulation of material—gives our selected writers proper guidance to advance their careers.

Script Pipeline selects five finalists and, from that group, one winner to receive:- $20,000 to winner; $1,000 to each finalist
- Introductions to managers, producers, agents, directors, and other execs searching for screenplays
- Development assistance and mentoring from Script Pipeline's team
- Additional script reviews and consideration of other material
- Long-term script circulation to industry and continual guidance connecting with companies
- Invitations to private events and Symposium panels hosted by Pipeline

Script Pipeline Names Screenplay and TV Contest Winners
The winners and runners-up of the 2016 Script Pipeline Screenwriting and TV Writing Competitions were announced Saturday, July 23rd and awarded over $35,000. The private event in Los Angeles connected top industry execs and the finalists, as well as other recent Script Pipeline writers. [Updated: 07/27/2016]

Script Pipeline's Matt Misetich
Matt Misetich started as a freelance reader at Script Pipeline in 2006, and gradually assumed more managerial duties until he eventually became the contest's full-time Director of Development. Prior to joining Script Pipeline, Matt worked at the film distribution company, Alpha Media. [Updated: 01/12/2016]
Script Pipeline Names 2015 Film & TV Contest Winners
Script Pipeline announced the winners of the 2015 Screenwriting and TV Writing Competitions at their Secret Door event in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 8th.
Top honors and $20,000 for Screenwriting went to Henry Dunham with his crime/thriller Militia. Grand Prize for TV went to the original pilot Beechwood, written by Eric Beu and Greg Martin.
