Objective
Founded in 1969 as the Sinking Creek Film Celebration, Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country and one of the most acclaimed festivals in the South. Hosted in Music City, NashFilm attracts enthusiastic film lovers from all across the country and has been praised by film-goers and filmmakers alike for its unique combination of big city festival atmosphere and laid back Southern hospitality. Showcasing approximately 200 films from over 30 countries, a screenplay competition, episodic competition, live music showcases, and a Creators Conference. Even in a virtual format, NashFilm was able to find a way to include creatives in networking and provide excitement for award winners through a virtual awards ceremony. Show More

Nashville Fest Names Screenplay Contest Finalists
The Nashville Film Festival has named the 54 Finalists selected for their 4th annual Screenwriting Competition. Finalists were selected from over 1,300 submissions from all over the world. The Top 3 Finalists were selected in all categories and scored into the Top 4% of submissions. This year's winners will be announced at an award ceremony on Friday, April 28th at the Nashville Film Festival. The 48th Nashville Film Festival will take place April 20-29.
