Objective

**A Moviebytes Top Screenplay Contest for 2021**

Our 2020 Winner has been signed by a Manager as a result of entering our competition!! Now in our fourth season, Write LA gives 5 writers the chance to be read and considered for representation by FIVE Literary Management Companies: Circle of Confusion, Zero Gravity, Grandview, Fourward and Fictional Entity! One winner will also hear their entire script read live on stage by professional 'Hollywood' actors. The reading will be professionally video recorded and posted online.

The winner, finalists and semifinalists receive free feedback from head judge - and highly respected script consultant - Tim Schildberger. Other prizes include copies of Final Draft 11, for our finalists, helpful screenwriting books from Michael Wiese Productions, awesome notebooks made with recycled paper by Decomposition Books, for our semi finalists. The semifinalists each receive a range of prizes – including a screenwriting book courtesy of Michael Wiese Publishing, an eco-friendly notebook from Decomposition Books, and an online webinar from Script and The Writer's Store.

"This year was tough", says Co-Founder and Head Judge Tim Schildberger. "We had a lot of really solid scripts from more than 30 states, and over a dozen countries. We focused on looking for original ideas, unique voices, and solid command of the screenwriting craft."

The competition also announced a short list of "honorable mention" scripts which were close to making the top 15.

"Being creative during a pandemic is hard. We have so much admiration and respect for everyone who entered. A big thanks to all", say Tim.

The top 5 finalists – who will have their scripts read by five Literary Management Companies – will be announced October 1.
