NIGHTHAWK

Over the centuries, in Baile Herculane, Romania, there’s folklore about a flying being that protects the area from crime. The people suspect that the Cazacu family, who resides in a castle on the mountain, is the alleged source. After the sudden deaths of Vali Cazacu and his wife, pregnant Shimeka, a life-saving surgery saves their baby, who's adopted and taken to America.

Castle Cazacu, in the mountain above the town of Baile Herculane, Romania, and its inhabitants, the Cazacu family, were immersed in local folklore and fantasy for hundreds of years. The people believed they could fly through the night and protect the area from those who’d committed crimes; It would carry away the guilty and never be seen again. The last of the family, Vali Cazacu and his wife, are killed in an automobile accident. Their baby girl survives; her aunt and uncle, Denis and Georgeta Sandu, adopt her and take her to Los Angeles. They named her Jolie. Year’s pass: Jolie is an intelligent and exceptional athlete, especially in track and basketball at Southern Cal, where she has become a star player. One day, while in the gym alone practicing, she realizes she can move through the air as far as she wants. She is stunned. That night, Jolie runs across her backyard and leaps to her second-floor bedroom balcony. Then she leaps off and soars out along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. The next day, she fakes a leg injury during practice. Not understanding what is happening to her, she calls an aunt back in Romania who informs her of the history of the Cazacu family and her father, Vali Cazacu. Jolie reads books about superheroes and continues to practice flying at night. One night, while in the sky, she witnesses a crime and intercedes. Thus begins her quest to help protect the City of Los Angeles from crime.
