Bass Reeves: Wild West's Biggest Unknown Hero

In this biopic that blends truth with fiction, childhood slave-turned-lawman Bass Reeves arrests his own son and some of the meanest desperados of the Wild West, only to stand trial on murder charges himself as the first black deputy marshal west of the Mississippi. Then, in a modern-day climatic twist, Bass appears in a séance meant to con a mother and her hero-starved daughter.
