Rebels and Witches
Logline In a search for the missing Major Kateo Redwolf, an army squad falls through the same wormhole into a parallel world with a 13th century technology ruled by a fierce feline species and a powerful female led religion. The major, now a powerful religious officer, now known as the Mala Keya, in the erotic cult of Luryavan, is determined to prevent them from starting a war to liberate the enslaved Nagas. The squad must navigate divided loyalties and moral dilemmas as two of them split off to do just that when the Mala Keya demands the surrender of their weapons.
Gawaine Ross is a disabled 75 year old retired nurse and wiccan and current pagan living in the gorgeous Back Bay of Boston. He is the author of a book of poetry, The Wind in the Pines, a civil war novel, The Taste of Agony, and a fantasy novel, Rebels and Witches. As a screenplay Rebels and Witches has won winning status in the 2026 Berlin Film Festival and has placed as a finalist in the Marina del Rey film festival. He is a founding member of the Trident Poetry Collective, which meets every Sunday at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe on Newbury St.
