IL COLTELLO

After the murder of his family, a hearing-impaired enforcer travels to Lake Como to complete his revenge and his friendship with a local deaf girl softens his soul, but when she is kidnapped his bloody rampage erupts.

Frank ‘the knife’ Verdino has been involved with the Mob since the age of eleven. At 47, he’s a low-level enforcer with 80% hearing loss in one ear, but he’s tired and looking for a way out. Except the only way out is through death. No one breaks the code and talks to the authorities, but that’s exactly what Frank does when a Boss has his son beaten and left in a coma. After his son’s funeral, Frank turns State’s Evidence on his crime family and is placed in Witness Protection with his estranged wife and daughter. When they are both murdered, Frank takes revenge on his superiors and is forced to lay low in Lake Como awaiting the arrival of the Don who ordered the beating of his son. Against his better judgment, Frank makes friends with the locals, especially the hearing-impaired Liliana, a nine-year-old girl. He takes a job as a cook in a lake-side restaurant as he plans his revenge. Frank draws the attention of local hoods and his past associates from America discover his location. When Liliana is kidnapped Frank goes on a rampage of violence to retrieve his new friend and enact his revenge on those that murdered his family.

Author Bio:
Just an easy-going, self-effacing, ex-Aussie, who decided to turn his love of writing every day into screenplays at age 40. Fifteen years, twenty-seven scripts, and three novels later, the thrill of a new idea and the blank page creates excitement and sleepless nights slathered with mediocrity. The pursuit of the craft is the greatest adventure, never knowing what lies ahead with the next script.
