********The REVIEWS are in on OBSERVATION CAR************
"Very polished script that takes a difficult concept and lays it out in an easy to follow, compelling format... Your dialogue for each of the characters is clean and without extraneous or unnecessary additions. Too often, especially in complicated scripts the writer will have the characters explain what's going on to one another which is not done at all here. Bravo with that. Your talent for keeping the SP interesting within the confines of a train speaks highly of your writing abilities. I've found most SP shot in one confined location to generally be monotonous and claustrophobic but your constant movement around the train cars kept me interested throughout. I enjoyed the different characters, Kowalski, Samantha, and especially Miriam who despite her grandmotherly appearance I could feel there was something just not right about her. Each character "spoke" with their own unique voice and character could be identified merely by reading the dialogue. What I found to be the most impressive point of this SP is your opening description of the characters. They were short, to the point and immediately put an image in my mind... Overall I enjoyed reading your SP and am sure this will garner positive professional interest."
"I really enjoyed reading this spec! Great flow!... This is the best screenplay of the 4 I’ve read. You have strong characters, excellent pacing of action vs. dialogue, superb dialogue and a really cool premise... All the best with this spec...you’re good!"
"The set up is well done, it kept my attention. Good job... This is a damn good story... the twist, when it comes, really works... the train becomes our universe, our world with all of its restrictions of time and space. It becomes a good metaphor for life... I think it is a good story that could in the hands of a good director become an even better film. And with top actors an excellent entertaining action/adventure movie."
"Just a fun, fast read with lots of professionalism and class. Great genre piece. Brefni is a very talented, ambitious writer and this script really shows off his strengths."
"The story was well told and I found the characters interesting. It held my attention well. It has a lot of opportunities for interesting visuals."
"...this is very good... in the second half, it picks up speed, becomes a lot more dense and paranoid, moving forward, answering questions and posing others."
"It moved along at a good pace, pretty good writing, I could feel the suspense while reading... I did like the double twist... I liked this script."
"I really dug Observation Car. You really should be a produced writer."
"It starts out well, it’s nice it’s smooth and the writing is clear and there are some very interesting things happening."
"I enjoyed your script... a good read... the way you described the action is very good..."
