BREFNI O'ROURKE is a twice optioned screenwriter who has studied filmmaking at the Academy of Art College San Francisco and SUNY Empire State New York.
He is the author of more than 40 original feature-length screenplays, including the critically acclaimed "Conscience", "Spontaneous Human Combustion", "Valley of the Shadow", and "Klepto."
His screenplay "God's Work" was optioned by The Ferla Consulting Group. A second script, a horror-thriller, on which he is a co-writer, has recently been optioned by an independent production company.
His psychological-thriller "Wake" was recognized as a quarter-finalist in the Final Draft/Big Break Contest(top 10% of 6,669 entries) and the American Zoetrope contest (judged by Francis Ford Coppola), also as a quarter-finalist.
His script "Panopticon" was selected as a "Notable Project" by Amazon Studios.
