Pepsi-Cola president Walter Mack in a bid to compete with rival Coca Cola, picks the ideal African-American salesman in Edward F. Boyd to lead the first team of black salesmen, develop print and billboard ads for the company, and to hit the road to hawk their brand to a market normally ignored by the major corporations at the time - when Jakie Robinson and Larry Doby were also breaking into the 'majors.'
