Call for Entries: Great Lakes Film Association 2002 Screenplay Competition

Erie, PA. - The annual Great Lakes Film Association Screenplay Competition has officially opened its Call for Entries, accepting submissions of feature length screenplays of any genre. The early submission deadline is March 01, 2002 and the final deadline is April 12, 2002. The annual screenplay competition is a way for new and veteran screenwriters to possibly get the break they need. We are involved with several agencies that will be looking at the Top 15 screenplays. All screenplays entered will also be able to receive constructive feedback from our judges.

Entry forms and application information are available from the Great Lakes Film Association website at: www.greatlakesfilmfest.com. The Great Lakes Film Association 2002 Screenplay contest will accept work of all genre, feature length, and industry standard format.

The screenplay competition is designed to help those writers who might not have the chance to have their materials looked at. We know how difficult it is to have a busy agent sit down and read over your screenplay, so we have created the competition as a link between the writer and the industry professionals.

In addition to the competition itself, the Great Lakes Film Asociation also has an annual Independent Film Festival in September, a very active website www.greatlakesfilmfest.com, monthly contests, and workshops. For more information on Great Lakes Film Association activities, please refer to the website at www.greatlakesfilmfest.com
