Objective
The PAGE Awards competition was established in the fall of 2003 by an alliance of Hollywood producers, agents, and development execs. Our goal: to discover the most exciting new scripts by up-and-coming writers from across the country and around the world. And due to the success of our winning writers, the PAGE Awards competition has become one of the most important sources for new screenwriting talent within the Hollywood community and worldwide.
One of the most frustrating things about so many screenwriting contests - both for the writers and for the judges - is that scripts of different genres are in competition with each other. But how can you compare a comedy to an action script? How do you rank a family film against a thriller? Moreover, why is it that most contests only reward the screenwriter who writes a powerful drama, while many of the most successful movies made in Hollywood are comedies, thrillers, action flicks and family films?
In order to address this problem, and to encourage a wide variety of screenwriting talent, each year the PAGE judges present a total of 31 Awards to new screenwriters in ten different genre categories:
Action/Adventure
Comedy
Drama
Family Film
Historical Film
Science Fiction
Thriller/Horror
Short Film Scripts
TV Drama Pilots
TV Comedy Pilots
This year's winning writers will receive a total of over $50,000 in cash and prizes, plus extensive industry exposure for their winning scripts! Most importantly, the PAGE Awards contest is judged entirely by working professionals in the film and television industry, so all contestants have the opportunity to get their scripts into the hands of Hollywood professionals currently in search of new talent. $25,000 Grand Prize, PLUS Gold, Silver & Bronze prizes in all ten genre categories. Winners receive cash and gift certificates, as well as extensive publicity and industry exposure for their winning scripts. As a result of the PAGE judging process and publicity, dozens of PAGE Award winners have landed screenwriting assignments, secured representation, signed option agreements on their work, and many now have movies and television shows in production, on the air and in theaters.PAGE International

PAGE Award Winners Writing for TV
Over the past decade, The PAGE International Screenwriting Awards contest has helped launch the careers of dozens of successful screenwriters, many of whom are now writing top TV series. In the latest news:
2012 PAGE Gold Prize winner Graham Norris has been on the writing staff of the CW series iZOMBIE for the past two seasons, and show runner Rob Thomas has just announced that he will be producing Graham's new series TEMPEST for the CW. Graham is co-writing the pilot and will executive produce the series.
The new ABC series THE JURY, co-written and executive produced by 2008 Gold Prize winner VJ Boyd, is now in pre-production. VJ was previously a writer and producer on the NBC series THE PLAYER and on the FX series JUSTIFIED.
2013 Grand Prize winner Brooke Roberts Eikmeier has been working as a staff writer on the CW series THE FLASH since its premiere in 2014. Brooke has written six episodes of the show, including the recent episode "Enter Zoom."
2009 Gold Prize winner Rob Sudduth recently wrote an episode of the NBC series TELENOVELA entitled "Evil Twin." Rob has also worked as a staff writer on THE RED BAND SOCIETY (FOX), THE CRAZY ONES (CBS), and THE NEW NORMAL (NBC).
2006 Silver Prize winner Davah Avena was recently hired as executive story editor on the Lifetime series DEVIOUS MAIDS. Davah previously worked as a staff writer on EAST LOS HIGH (Hulu), WICKED, WICKED GAMES (MNTV), and MEDIUM (NBC).
2007 Silver Prize winner Bill Balas has been working as a staff writer on the A&E series BATES MOTEL since its premiere in 2013. Bill wrote the recent episode "The Pit."
2011 Silver Prize winner Joe Webb is currently working as a staff writer on the FOX series SLEEPY HOLLOW. Joe wrote the recent episode "The Art of War."
Over the past several years, both 2008 Silver Prize winner Jonathan Hall and 2007 Gold Prize winner David Bishop have written multiple episodes of the BBC series DOCTORS.
And 2015 Bronze Prize winner Steven Canals has just been hired as a staff writer on the upcoming ABC/Freeform series DEAD OF SUMMER.
